Premarital counseling
She has advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)—two of the most effective, research-supported approaches for trauma recovery. She also integrates CBT, coaching strategies, and neurofeedback into treatment when helpful.
Her counseling style is trauma-informed, collaborative, and holistic. She values each client’s story and creates a safe, supportive space where lasting change is possible.
Integrating Faith and Healing
For clients who request it, Leah can include Christian faith and spiritual principles in counseling. This integration is always optional and client-directed, ensuring care that respects each person’s beliefs and values.
Teaching, Speaking & Media
Leah is committed to supporting both clients and the wider community. She has guided associate therapists working toward licensure and has taught as an adjunct professor of psychology at Westminster College, the University of Phoenix, and Messiah University.
She also leads seminars and workshops for teens and adults on trauma, suicide prevention, grief, anxiety, marriage, parenting, self-esteem, stress management, and boundaries. Her expertise has been featured on Fox 13’s “The Place”, where she has shared insights on mental health, relationships, and wellness.
Personal Note
Outside of her professional work, Leah enjoys spending time with her husband Rob and their three adult daughters. Together, they love exploring the outdoors—whether hiking, biking, or simply enjoying Utah’s natural beauty.
